[BusinessGrad] New University Appointment - Dr. Holloway

Dear Brock School of Business Students,

University Advancement announced this week that Dr. Betsy Holloway has been named Chief Marketing Officer for Samford University, effective August 1.   This new role will allow Dr. Holloway to provide strategic oversight of all University marketing efforts.  She will retain her faculty appointment within the Brock School of Business, but she will not carry a teaching assignment next year as she transitions to this important new role that will strengthen the University as a whole.

Dr. Holloway has been an important faculty member within the Brock School, and as such we will be seeking a visiting professor to cover her previously scheduled classes for the fall and spring terms next year.  We will commence a national search for a permanent hire for our marketing faculty vacancy, to begin fulltime fall semester 2014, this summer.

Dr. Holloway also served an important role as Brock Scholars Program Coordinator, and we plan to name a new Brock Scholars Program Coordinator very soon.

Please join me in congratulating Dr. Holloway on this exciting new chapter in her professional career, and thanking her for the willingness to help lead Samford in all our efforts to market, brand and promote our University.
