Job Title: Investment Fund Analyst

Job Description:

The Analyst hired at Anderson Growth will work directly with the Managing Director and Managing Member, primarily on matters related to the firm's proprietary internal hedge funds.

The Analyst will have the following responsibilities:

  *   Identify, evaluate, and recommend potential investment opportunities, primarily in publicly traded equities
  *   Emphasis will be on performing financial analyses, conducting primary research on companies and industries, preparing and updating valuation models and monitoring existing investments
  *   Job requires balancing company research with daily operational tasks (P/L reconciliation, reporting, trade execution, etc.).  The ideal candidate will be able to contribute process improvements (spreadsheet redesign, macro building, etc.) to reduce the time consumed by operations
  *   Candidate must be able to work on and prioritize multiple tasks, work independently, be proactive in developing solutions and take initiative without prodding
  *   Candidate must be able to synthesize information quickly and communicate effectively.  Ongoing communication and idea sharing with the fund's investors will be highly emphasized

Job Qualifications:

  *   2+ years sell side or buy side equity research experience-please do not apply if this criteria is not met
  *   Strong educational background
  *   Strong organizational skills including the ability to multi-task
  *   Passion for investing and desire to learn
  *   Strong communication and quantitative skills
  *   Hardworking with good attitude
  *   Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic financial modeling
  *   A self-motivated person who is a team player with a strong work ethic will stand out in our hiring process.
