I would like to tell you about a unique MBA class that I will be teaching during January 2013 -  International Marketing Simulation Game Class (MARK 542)

No matter what your area of emphasis, the content of this course has all the ingredients to be the best course you've taken - best in the sense of learning a lot about international business, holding your interest from beginning to end, and enhancing your powers of business judgment. Ralph Waldo Emerson once observed, "Commerce is a game of skill which many people play, but which few play well." The overriding intent of the course is to help you become a savvier player and better prepare you for a successful business career. I sincerely hope this course will prove to be instrumental in making you "competitively superior", successful in your career, and much wiser about the secrets of first-rate international marketing management.

A business simulation game, LINKS, is used throughout the course. The simulation game serves as a continuing, evolving "case" in which course participants working in teams assume senior managerial roles. The LINKS simulation game (www.links-simulations.com<http://www.links-simulations.com>) is one of the best-selling executive education business simulations on the market. It has been utilized in over 70 countries for executive education in many of the world's leading companies including: Accenture, Alcon, BAT, Bridgestone/Firestone, British Petroleum, Chevron, ConAgra Foods, Efunds, EMBARQ, ExxonMobil, Fleetguard, IBM, Lactogal, Mahindra Finance Programs, Mars, Moet Hennessy, Parker Hannifin, Pepsico, Shell, Siemens, Sonae Indústria, Stanley Works, Unilever, and others.

At the heart of International Marketing is COMPETITION.... and I believe the most effective way of learning about International Marketing is to actually experience it through the vehicle of competition. Thus, a major portion of our time together will involve your efforts in competitive situations. A well-known platitude states, "I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand!"
