Dear Graduate Students,
As we rapidly approach the beginning of the Summer semesters, we wish to inform you of several upcoming changes in the organizational structure of the Brock School of Business.
First, Professor Larry Harper has indicated his desire to return to fulltime classroom instruction, effective July 1, 2012. Professor Harper has served the school faithfully as Director of Graduate Programs, and we are indebted to him for his guidance, diligence and leadership in this important role. We will honor his wishes, and applaud his tireless dedication over many years in this important role.
In response to Professor Harper's return to the classroom, we are going to consolidate Graduate and Undergraduate Programs into a single Office of Academic Programs. Professor Barbara Cartledge has agreed to lead this important area of our school. She will become Director of Academic Programs, effective July 1, 2012. Professor Cartledge's eight years of directing the Undergraduate Programs have given her keen insight into the recruiting, retention, and advising of our students. Her experience and expertise are highly regarded across campus, and we strongly believe those skills will translate well to the Graduate Programs area.
The Office of Academic Programs is located on the second floor of Dwight Beeson Hall, Room 203.
Rebekah DeBoer will transition into the Office of Academic Programs and serve as Assistant Director of Academic Programs. Rebekah will focus her efforts on Graduate Student advising and issues.
Additionally, Doshia Bennett has accepted the opportunity to become the new Program Assistant for the Office of Academic Programs.
