As this is my first communication of the new year let me take the opportunity of wishing everyone a very blessed and successful 2012. May you realize all the goals you have chosen to pursue.

Our spring 2012 semester will begin with a special reception on Thursday, January 26th at 6pm in the South Colonnade of the Pete Hanna Center prior to the Samford men's basketball game against Southern Conference foe Georgia Southern. This reception is an opportunity for new students, returning students, and alumni to socialize and network with each other and with our program faculty. We will also discuss the plans to revive the graduate business alumni and student organization that met in the 1990's and early 2000's.  While the Samford Business Network has met some needs of students and alumni, we have received requests to offer more networking opportunities specifically for current graduate students and alumni. During the January 26th reception, we will enjoy fellowship and refreshments while sharing some ideas about this initiative.
