We have just received the following notice that should be of interest to graduate students wishing to learn more about the internal audit and compliance profession.  Please utilize the opportunity being offered here on the Samford campus next Tuesday evening.

The Birmingham Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors will be hosting our annual Student Night on November 3, 2009 at the Cumberland School of Law, Samford University.  Student Night is a wonderful opportunity for college and graduate students that might be interested in a career in Internal Audit or Compliance to meet local professionals working in the Internal Audit/Compliance profession.  The night will consist of networking/socializing with various businesses around Birmingham as well as representatives from the IIA. The night will end with a message from Tim Meehan speaking on aspects of recruiting, dress, and resume' writing. Student Night will be held in the Great Room of Robinson Hall, and will start at 5:30 PM and end around 7:15 PM.  Details below:

5:30-6:15 = Networking /hors d'oeuvres

Business such as:             Regions Financial Corp
                                                Vulcan Materials
                                                EBSCO
                                                Protective Life
                                                Blue Cross Blue Shield
                                                Nexity Bank
                                                And others......will be represented

6:15-7:15 = Speaker

Feel free to join us for the whole meeting or as long as your schedule allows.  Since this night is for students, there is NO CHARGE for students to attend.
